The French Open has underlined its commitment to tennis with the announcement of increased prize money for players, including wheelchair tennis players. Competitors at Roland Garros 2016 will receive $47 million in total prize money, a 14 per cent increase of $3.7 million. The singles winners will each receive $3 million, a rise of 6.4 per cent. The centre ran an exercise class to promote a healthy lifestyle, and a sense of community for Wollongong’s senior citizens. The University of Wollongong (UOW) has developed a Water Saving Action Plan (WSAP) to ensure it will have enough water in the future. World Water Day was established in 1993 as an opportunity to educate people about water related issues, and to inspire others to take action and make a difference.
