Argentinian dancer Natalia Grosso decided to put on the fundraising dance festival Amor Por India when she saw the poor living conditions of many Indians. “After living in India for a while I was able to see the crude reality,” Ms Grosso said. “I had the chance to meet people in their daily lives, especially the culture and dancing. The humble Frisbee will be thrust into the spotlight at the Australian University Games in Perth next week. The University of Wollongong will field six teams at the championships, including men’s and women’s Ultimate sides. “We’re really excited to have pulled together two teams to go away to Perth. It will be a great week,” UOW Ultimate Women’s Vice-Captain Shontelle Ferguson said. The squads trained for the titles since July and hope for a top 10 finish. The President of the Wollongong University Students’ Association is standing by the organisation’s decision to split from the National Union of Students despite talk of legal action. WUSA President Sam Tedeschi said the move, decided by a referendum, would benefit have financial benefits for UOW students. “They charged us $110,000 this year to affiliate, we literally don’t have that much money,” Mr Tedeschi said.  “In return, we receive no materials, no benefits.” Mr Tedeschi said the money saved by disaffiliating with the NUS would go to WUSA student services. “It’s going to go a long way in what we can provide;…
