Non-for-profit Good Will Only has started production two months earlier than expected and will provide meals to vulnerable groups in response to the recent COVID-19 outbreak.
Each week up to 800 meals will be donated to local providers and the organisation said it will help those most in need across the Illawarra. The food is cooked by volunteers who have found themselves out of work during the pandemic lockdown, and sourced from suppliers affected by the reduced trade.
The initiative is founded by a number of local business known as the Good Times Only group. These include Howlin’ Wolf, Dagwood Bar and Kitchen, Births and Deaths Cocktail Bar, The Little Prince Cocktail Bar and Washington & Co. Whiskey Bar.
Good Times Only Director Ben Abraham has this message for the community:
You can donate to the Good Will Only group here.
It’s great to see local businesses giving back to their community in a time of need. Any donation you give will go towards the production of up to 800 meals each week for those most at risk in the Illawarra. https://t.co/p51q9DXL4l #UOWTV #COVID19Aus #goodwillonly
